Social Dashboards Are Still Looking for Their Market
If you participate in more than one social network personally, you’ve probably felt overwhelmed. If you take care of more than one account, even on the same network, you might have been annoyed by toggling between accounts. For whatever reason, it seems like more and more people need to send and receive messages for more than one social account possibly on multiple networks.
There are tools out there to help you, but you’ll need to pick and choose your options carefully or you might just end up making a mortgage-sized payment every month for your social dashboard. Individuals and small businesses need more options.
Twitter’s New API Rules Are Bad for Someone, but Who?
Twitter is angry and they’re taking it out on developers. They’re instituting new API rate limits, the inability to add new users for certain applications, and exchanging nasty glances with others. What, exactly, Twitter is angry about is anyone’s guess. The new announcement from them provides the punishments, but they forgot to name the perpetrator.
Will Sponsored Stories Gain Traction?
I’ve been gearing up to write about how pointless Facebook’s sponsored stories are and how they’ll never work. Then I sat and thought about it. I better define “work” before I say sponsored stories “won’t work”.
If the question is whether or not they’ll be embraced by Facebook’s users, the answer is certainly NO.
LinkedIn’s Paid Upgrades Don’t Work
LinkedIn’s paid upgrades might offer some nice features, but how could anyone tell? Just figuring out which ones would be right for you is hard enough. Then you need to secure a line of credit to afford them. What are they doing wrong, and can it be fixed?
